i decided to once again use my little sister as my model and muse and style her for a mini photo shoot. I took her shopping which was so fun because she looks absolutely adorable in everything. And surprisingly I was able to find a lot of cute things in her size. We shopped at H&M kids, Abercrombie kids, Nordstroms and Icing by Claire's.
There are so many influential people in fashion you can learn from, my personal favorite happens to be Rachel Zoe. Rachel Zoe is a fashion stylist working in LA best known for working with celebrities, fashion houses, beauty firms, advertising agencies, and magazine editors. She has worked with celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, Nicole Richie, and Keira Knightley. I absolutely LOVE her and her show. I would die for her job. She currently has a reality show called The Rachel Zoe project on BravoTV which just started it's second season. On her show you learn about how Rachel and "team zoe" put together and style outfits for their clients. I really recommend you watch it not not only is it major eye candy for fashionistas but a really good way to learn about the styling industry!

As much as I love fashion and styling lately I've been really into fashion photography. I absolutely adore dressing people up doing hair and make up then taking pictures. Recently I did a photo shoot with these gorgeous twins who photographed really well, I thought they had a great look and would be so fun to dress up.

I have never been a huge fan of gap jeans but they seem to have reinvented themselves with their new "america's best fitting premium jeans" well priced starting at $54.50. They feature seven new styles for women, my favorite being the "always skinny" jean. Above supermodel Anja Rubik sports the "always skinny". Visit www.gap.com to learn more. I love it what do you think?

Over the summer in New York City where I was studying fashion design at Parsons, the new school for design (home of Project Runway) I fell in LOVE with Topshop! It is a British clothing store with amazing prices, almost like an H&M but much more stylish and fashion forward. Topshop's new looks for fall are TO DIE FOR. I've selected a few of my favorites above, (the first look is my most fave.) If there isn't a topshop in your area visit www.topshop.com to shop online!
Who doesn't love mani-pedis?? well next time you go and you're torn on what color to choose, if you haven't already fallen in love with it, I have four words for you: LINCOLN PARK AFTER DARK!. it is only THE most beautiful color for nail polish! It's a deep deep purple that would almost look black at first glance but looks dark purple in the sun. It's my absolute favorite I get it every time and it seems to go with all my outfits! Try it out you'll love. And it's a great color especially coming into fall!

Along with styling I love fashion photography and I thought I'd use my little sister as my model to show two of my favorite looks. The first being a purple scarf worn as a headband, vintage lace cropped tank over a plum american apparel bikini top with distressed jean shorts. The second is a silver headband, long tank with jean vest, skinny jeans, and gold necklace.
